March 3, 2008: AccordingToRay.com goes 2-1 for UFC 82: AccordingToRay's undefeated streak was broken Saturday night when Anderson Silva successfully defended his title against Dan Henderson. I underestimated the toll cutting from 205lbs would have on Henderson, as he was visibly gassed after handily winning round 1. My new top 10 rankings will be up today and will reflect the outcomes of this weekend's fights.

February 5, 2008: AccordingToRay.com goes 3-0 AGAIN! AccordingToRay correctly predicted 3 out of 3 fights on the recent UFC 81 card. Nogueira scored a 3rd round submission and Mir submitted Lesnar in the 1st round, just as I predicted. I missed the actual outcome of the Marquardt fight as he finished Jeremy Horn which was definitely surprising, but I still knew Marquardt would dominate. I will have my predictions for the UFC 82 card up very soon, I fear my luck may have run up as this card has some very tough matchups. Also, look for an update on my MMA Rankings in the next day or so.

January 23, 2008: AccordingToRay.com goes 3-0! I will be predicting the top 3 or 4 fights on each major MMA card and giving my analysis of each fight. I correctly predicted BJ Penn, Wilson Gouveia and Fabricio Werdum to win their matches at UFC 80. MMA is one of the most unpredictable sports in the world so I'm very happy to get rolling with a 3-0 performance. My predictions for UFC 81 have just been posted and I am debating adding my analysis of one more fight very soon.

January 23, 2008: More confusion for the MW division! Well, as of yesterday I learned that the fight between Kazuo Misaki and Yoshihiro Akiyama on the New Years Eve Yarennoka card has been ruled a No Contest. The fight was initially ruled a KO victory for Misaki, but upon further review the governing bodies in Japan decided to overturn the decision due to the illegal kick that caused the KO. Initially the kick was ruled legal, however you can clearly see that Akiyama's hand was on the mat along with both knees, which denotes a fighter being in the "down" position. In the "down" position, according to the newly formed Unified MMA rules, knees and kicks to the head are illegal. Long story short, this decision will further complicate the rankings in the MW division which is already the most confusing weight class in MMA. The new rankings will be posted sometime this week and will reflect the NC ruling.

January 18, 2008: The MMA Top Ten Rankings have been updated. They will undoubtedly be affected by the outcomes of UFC 80, so they will be updated again very soon.

What I'm currently working on: Right now I'm working on building a page that will allow readers to submit comments and critiques easily without going through email.
I'm also trying to put together my first sports article (finding a good topic is proving my biggest challenge)as well as listing explanations for my fighter rankings.
